MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER was established in 2005 and was founded by William Goh.

William obtained his undergraduate degree from University of South Dakota and was attached to "The Volante" - the bi-weekly newspaper from 1995-1996 covering major sports photography for NCAA sports held at the university dome. He was the official photographer for the School of Business in 1996- 1997 and was involved in commercial photography in 1998-1999 for a few corporate clients in Klang Valley.

William's interest in photography came when he was first given a old SLR (single lens reflex) camera - Canon AE-1 with a 50mm 1.4 lens in 1990 by his uncle and he started to embark to be an avid animal and landscape photographer. He was the best photographer in high school and has won inter-collegiate photography competition in Malaysia. His works appears in New Straits Times (Malaysia) organised by Fujifim Malaysia in 1992 & 1993 and was a finalist in 1996 "Intercolleagiate Photography Competition" organized by Photographer Forum covering almost 17,000 entries all over the world.

His interest in wedding came when he was engaged by his university friends and the first American wedding was shot at Des Moines, Iowa and subsequently weddings in Minneapolis (Minnesota), Sioux Falls and Vermillion (South Dakota) in 1996. From here, there was no turning back. William loves the moments, making this THE moments in everyone's life. Therefore, its "your memories, our passion", that's William's motto.

William came back to Malaysia in 1997 with his bachelor degree and has been working with numerous multinational & public listed companies throughout Klang Valley but his passion is still photography. He left his last paying job to be a full-time wedding photographer in 2005 and to-date, he has been listed as one of the top "actual wedding day" photographer in Malaysia. William's first wedding assignment in Malaysia started in 1997, just two months after he came back to Malaysia. Then came the digital era, he first started to take wedding photography in digital format in 2002.

MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER is a proud member of WPPI - Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (USA). In November 2008, he has been awarded Accolade of Excellence (Honorable Mention) for 2nd half of 2008 from WPPI for 8" x 10" prints competition.

He is also the current member of ISPWP (International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers) from USA and currently THE ONLY Malaysian wedding photographer and 2nd from Asia region to be accepted as a member in this prestigeous fraternity. He also won 7th place (category) for ISPWP Winter 2008 Competition in February 2009 this year.
